Suppliers

Supplier partnerships are essential to BC-S2C’s success

Blue Carbon S2C (BC-S2C) looks forward to partnering with suppliers. We value our supplier relationships and recognise our suppliers’ vital role in delivering value, innovation and supporting our operations, people and local communities. In doing so, we are working to tackle climate change and the many social, economic and environmental co-benefits from our ecosystem restoration and habitat creation work.

BC-S2C plans to spend millions of dollars on a diverse range of goods, materials and services from suppliers during our projects’ pre-development, facility construction and commissioning, in-field restoration/creation and operation stages, with a diverse supplier base across Australia and the Indo-Pacific. We are committed to building our network of local and Indigenous suppliers in the communities where we operate. Our objective is to put safety first, maximise value and minimise cost. We aim to ensure that our approach is fair and clearly understood by our potential suppliers. We have a strong preference for contracting with local companies where possible.

Supporting local and Indigenous suppliers

BC-S2C has a “Buy Local, Hire Local” program.

Local and Indigenous businesses are provided with an opportunity to partner with BC-S2C to supply products and services to our operations.

BC-S2C aims to provide payment terms up to 14 days for all small, local and Indigenous businesses globally.

Where to find information on our requests for Expressions of Interest

Please register your business with us and the relevant Industry Capability Network (ICN).

We will publish requests for Expressions of Interest (EOI) at the following locations:

Minimum requirements for suppliers

When registering your interest in becoming a supplier, please request a copy of BC-S2C’s Minimum requirements for suppliers, which set minimum health, safety, environment, community and business conduct requirements. Adherence to our Minimum requirements for suppliers is a pre-requisite for doing business with BC-S2C.

Authority to execute contracts

Only certain senior BC-S2C employees have the authority to formalise and execute contracts with suppliers. With rare exceptions, these agreements are always on BC-S2C’s standard contract forms. If, as a supplier, you appear to have a contract that is not in line with these guidelines, then this contract may not have been executed in accordance with BC-S2C policy.
