Blue Carbon S2C (“BC-S2C”) is a member of The Australian Carbon Market Institute (CMI).
Carbon Industry Code of Conduct
BC-S2C is committed acknowledges, plans to comply with and is a signatory to the Carbon Industry Code of Conduct, which the CMI administers. This The Code aims to promote best practices within Australia’s carbon reduction and carbon sequestration industry, guiding project developers undertaking carbon projects under the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) and other Voluntary Offset Schemes. It is a voluntary code that aims to promote market integrity, consumer protection and appropriate interaction with project stakeholders, including Native Title Holders, representative bodies, land managers and project owners. Signatories to the Code agree to meet the minimum requirements for operating in the carbon industry, as set out in the Code, including during pre-project activities, ongoing project management, documentation and general business practices.
Core Carbon Principles
BC-S2C acknowledges and plans to comply with the work of the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets (TSVCM), which is sponsored by the Institute of International Finance (IIF). TSVCM is developing the Core Carbon Principles (CCPs), a threshold standard for defining high quality. The CCPs will set a new high-quality benchmark surpassing existing certification.
Methods
BC-S2C acknowledges and plans to comply with the ERF methodology. The ERF manages the certification of Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) issued under the ERF program beneath s147 of the CFI Act.
BC-S2C acknowledges and plans to comply with the Verra and Gold Standard methodology. This sets out detailed procedures for quantifying a project’s natural greenhouse gas (GHG) benefits and provides guidance to help project developers determine project boundaries, set baselines, assess additionality and ultimately quantify the GHG emissions that were reduced or removed. Verra manages the certification of Verified Carbon Standard Units (VCUs) under the VCS Program.
BC-S2C acknowledges and plans to comply with the Gold Standard methodology. Gold Standard manages the certification of Voluntary Emissions Reduction (VERs).
Pledges
BC-S2C is in the process of signing the Climate Neutral Now pledge. This is a statement of BC-S2C’s intention to estimate our greenhouse gas emissions and try to reduce them, consider contributing (offsetting) and report annually.

BC-S2C is a “Pty Ltd” company but acknowledges and plans to comply with relevant ASX Corporate Governance Council’s Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Principles 1 and 2 of the UN Global Compact
BC-S2C acknowledges that our activities have the potential to have an impact on human rights. We seek to respect the rights of our employees, individual contractors and members of our host communities and support fundamental human rights consistent with the articles set out in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Principles 1 and 2 of the UN Global Compact.
